The root contains β-amyrin, ursolic acid and β-sitosterol; the bark contains epifriedelanol acetate, friedelin, β-sitosterol and methyl betulinate; the stem contains friedelin and friedelan-3β-ol; the branches and leaves contain carbohydrates, amino acids, phenolic components, flavonoids and coumarins; the leaves also contain acid potassium tartrate, calcium tartrate, friedelan-3α-ol acetate, friedelin, friedelan-3β-ol, friedelan-3α-ol, β-sitosterol and gallic acid.
