Therapeutic Effects

1. Analgesic effect: Hot-plate tests, electric-shock tests in mice, and central nervous system summation tests in rabbits have shown that oral administration of Naoyanghua decoction has a significant analgesic effect, although its therapeutic index is low and its safety margin is narrow. 2. Antibacterial and insecticidal effects: Naoyanghua decoction has strong inhibitory effects in vitro against Staphylococcus aureus, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Bacillus anthracis, and group B streptococci.
