Cow-Bezoar

This product mainly contains bile pigments and bile acids; the main bile pigment component is bilirubin, etc.; the main bile acid components are cholic acid, deoxycholic acid, lithocholic acid, etc.

This product has sedative, anticonvulsant, and antipyretic effects; it markedly enhances myocardial contractility of the isolated frog heart; it dilates blood vessels and lowers blood pressure. The cholic acid it contains has a cholagogue effect. Sodium N-dithiocarbamoyltaurine has a significant protective effect against carbon-tetrachloride-induced liver damage in rats. Oral Calculus Bovis in rabbits markedly increases red blood cells in peripheral vessels and has a detoxifying effect. Calculus Bovis has anti-inflammatory and anti-infective effects.
