The whole plant contains trans-1,3-phytadiene, tetrahydrolycopene, β-sitosterol, phytol, 4(R)-hydroxyphytol, (10R)-hydroxy-7Z compounds, etc.

Therapeutic Effects

Duckweed effects: cardiotonic, vasoconstrictive, increases blood pressure, mild antipyretic, and larvicidal against mosquitoes and flies.

Precautions

Contraindicated in spontaneous sweating due to exterior deficiency
