What's Inside

Ingredients

Goji berries contain carotene, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, and ascorbic acid; beta-sitosterol and linoleic acid have also been isolated, and the pericarp contains physalien.

Therapeutic Effects

1. Anti-fatty-liver effect: the water infusion of Ningxia goji berries (20%, 8 mL/day by gavage) has a mild effect in mice poisoned by carbon tetrachloride, inhibiting the deposition of fat in liver cells and promoting the regeneration of liver cells. 2. Cholinomimetic-like effect: intravenous injection of the water extract of goji berries can lower the blood pressure and excite respiration in rabbits. It can also inhibit the isolated rabbit auricle, excite the isolated intestinal tract and constrict the rabbit ear blood vessels.
