What's Inside

Ingredients

The root of the daylily contains rhein, chrysophanol, obtusifolin and obtusifolin methyl ether; it also contains hemerocallin, a yellow powder which gives orange-red crystals when recrystallized from dimethylformamide, its toxicity and efficacy then being greatly reduced. It contains γ-hydroxyglutamic acid, succinic acid, β-sitosterol, asparagine, colchicine and trehalase, etc.

Therapeutic Effects

Oral administration of flower extract or concentrated extract to mice significantly reduces spontaneous activity, suggesting a marked sedative effect of Jinzhenhua.
