Ingredients

The whole plant contains lactones: alantolactone and isoalantolactone. Organic acids: gallic acid. Volatile oil: β-pinene, caryophyllene, caryophyllene oxide, cineole, geraniol, acetate, elemene, farnesol, borneol and eudesmol, etc. The aerial parts contain organic acids: vanillic acid, p-coumaric acid, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, caffeic acid, fumaric acid and p-β-D-glucopyranosyloxybenzoic acid. The flowers contain flavonoids: gossypetin-8-glucoside (namely gossypin), gossypitrin and cyanidin-3-rutinoside.
