Therapeutic Effects

1. Anti-inflammatory effect: glossy privet fruit has a marked anti-inflammatory effect. The water decoction of glossy privet fruit markedly inhibits xylene-induced auricular swelling in mice, acetic acid-induced increase in peritoneal capillary permeability in mice, and carrageenan-, egg white- and formalin-induced paw swelling in rats, and oleanolic acid has a similar effect. 2. Effect on immune function: glossy privet fruit has the effect of promoting immune function.
