Dendrobium Stem

The stem of Dendrobium nobile contains alkaloids such as dendrobine, dendroxine, 6-hydroxy-dendrobine (also called dendramine), dendroetherin, and 6-hydroxy-dendroetherin, etc.

1. Anti-cataract effect: it delays and treats galactose-induced cataract. 2. Immunity-enhancing effect: Dendrobium polysaccharide can enhance the immune activity of T cells and macrophages. 3. Liver-protective effect: it lowers the activity of enzymes such as alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase, raises total protein and albumin, effectively alleviates the pathological damage to the liver and has a marked protective effect on the liver. 4. Anti-ageing effect: it raises the SOD level and reduces the action of peroxidase.
