Ingredients

The flowers and stems contain volatile oils, chrysanthemoside, adenine, and choline. The volatile oil of Qiju (from Anguo, Hebei) contains borneol, camphor, and chrysanthenone. Flavonoids include luteolin, apigenin, apigenin-7-glucoside, along with organic acids and amino acids.

Therapeutic Effects

The decoction significantly dilates coronary arteries, increases coronary blood flow, and raises myocardial oxygen consumption. It has antipyretic, antihypertensive, and anti-inflammatory effects and inhibits influenza virus, leptospira, and various pathogenic bacteria.

Precautions

Use sparingly in cases of qi deficiency with cold stomach, poor appetite, and diarrhea
