Ingredients

The tuber contains triterpenoid saponins, benzoic acid, mucilage, amino acids, mannitol, and alkaloids, and also contains beta-sitosterol-D-glucoside and amino acids.

Therapeutic Effects

1. Anti-asthma effect: an anti-bronchitis research group used guinea pigs (histamine constant-pressure spray-induced asthma method) for anti-asthma experiments, which showed that a water-decocted, alcohol-precipitated solution of Baiyunhua root has a certain anti-asthma effect. 2. Antibacterial effect: 100% aqueous and ethanolic extracts inhibit Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella enteritidis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella typhi, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, and others.
