Ingredients

The leaves contain volatile oil, the main components being nerolidol and farnesol, and also alpha-pinene and beta-pinene, camphene, myrcene, p-cymene, linalool, alpha-ylangene, alpha-farnesene and beta-farnesene, camphor, nerol, geraniol, alpha-cubebene, elemol, cis-beta,gamma-hexenol, and linalool oxide.

Therapeutic Effects

This product has antitussive and anti-asthma effects and a mild expectorant effect; its decoction inhibits Staphylococcus aureus in vitro. In addition, it has a blood-sugar-lowering effect. The amygdalin contained in Pipaye has an anticancer effect.
