This product mainly contains steroids and isoflavonoids, etc.; the main steroid components are spatholobol and daucosterol, etc.; the main isoflavonoid components are ononin and formononetin, etc. It also contains triterpenes, chalcones, and epicatechin, etc.

Therapeutic Effects

The water decoction of this product has a marked antagonistic effect on atherosclerotic lesions; it can increase red blood cells and raise hemoglobin, and has a therapeutic effect on experimental rabbit anemia; small doses of the decoction can enhance rhythmic uterine contraction, larger doses cause more pronounced uterine contraction, with the pregnant uterus more sensitive than the non-pregnant; the preparation can increase femoral arterial blood flow in experimental animals and lower vascular resistance.
