Ingredients

This product contains alkaloids such as leonurine, stachydrine and leonuridine, and also contains fatty acids such as benzoic acid and lauric acid, as well as diterpenes.

Therapeutic Effects

The decoction and extract of this product have an excitatory effect on the uterus of various animals, increasing the frequency and amplitude of uterine contractions. Its injection can increase coronary flow and slow the heart rate. The decoction can improve microcirculatory disturbance and has an inhibitory effect on experimental thrombus formation; it can improve renal function and markedly increase urine volume. The water infusion of leonurine has an inhibitory effect on dermatophytes.
