Ingredients

It mainly contains volatile oil, whose principal components are turmerone, zingiberene, phellandrene, borneol and so on. It also contains curcumin and so on.

Therapeutic Effects

The extract has marked effects in lowering blood lipids, increasing nutrient blood flow to the myocardium, enhancing plasmin activity and inhibiting platelet aggregation; it can increase bile secretion and strengthen gallbladder contraction, and this action is weak but prolonged. The decoction has an excitatory effect on the uterus and can strengthen paroxysmal uterine contractions.
