What's Inside

Ingredients

European elder contains glycosides, including sambucin, sambucyanin, cyanogenic glycosides, and triacontanoic acid, etc.

Therapeutic Effects

Gastric gavage of Jiegumu decoction has an analgesic effect in mice (hot-plate method), with an effect weaker than morphine but stronger than metamizole, and the mice are calm after taking it. The water or alcohol extract of the related plant Sambucus sieboldiana injected into mice has a diuretic effect, which is not caused by the substances it contains; diuresis is often accompanied by diarrhea in mice. Jiegumu oil has a blood-lipid-lowering effect and also an anticancer effect.
