Ingredients

This product contains chlorogenic acid, isochlorogenic acid, and lonicerin. It also contains volatile oil, saponins, and other constituents.

Therapeutic Effects

1. Antibacterial effect: In vitro experiments show inhibitory effects against many bacteria, including typhoid bacilli, paratyphoid bacilli, E. coli, Proteus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bordetella pertussis, Vibrio cholerae, staphylococci, streptococci, pneumococci, and meningococci. 2. Other effect: When fasting rats are given large amounts of cholesterol, concurrent administration of honeysuckle results in lower serum cholesterol levels than in controls, suggesting that honeysuckle may reduce intestinal absorption of cholesterol.
