Ingredients

It contains various alkaloids, including liensinine, isoliensinine, neferine, nuciferine, and pronuciferine. It also contains flavonoids, polysaccharides, proteins, nucleic acids, glucose, chlorophyll, and other constituents.

Therapeutic Effects

The aqueous decoction of this product has a hypotensive effect; the methyl-liensinine it contains also has antiarrhythmic activity. The total alkaloids of lotus plumule have anti-myocardial ischemic effects.

Precautions

Use with caution in patients with deficiency-cold of the spleen and stomach.
