This product contains calvacin, calvatic acid, calvacin glucoside, ergosterol, leucine, sodium phosphate, and other constituents.

Therapeutic Effects

Peeled puffball has a hemostatic effect. Its decoction inhibits Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and pneumococci, and also inhibits a few pathogenic fungi.

Precautions

Avoid use in patients with cough and loss of voice due to wind-cold or consumptive cough.
