Ingredients

It contains sesquiterpenes, mainly artemisinin, artemisinic acid, arteannuin, artemisinol, and related compounds. It also contains flavonoids such as quercetagetin, kaempferol derivatives, chrysosplenetin, and chrysosplenol.

Therapeutic Effects

The alcohol extract and ether extract of this product show the strongest inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus. The ether extract and enol extract have significant antimalarial activity. The artemisinin it contains acts rapidly against malaria, can promote cellular immunity, and can inhibit influenza virus. Its volatile oil has expectorant, antitussive, and antiasthmatic effects.
