This product has a bactericidal effect on Staphylococcus aureus and an inhibitory effect on Pseudomonas aeruginosa; the compounds it contains, including helicteres methyl ester, helicteric acid methyl ester, and helicteric acid, can reduce alanine aminotransferase activity.
