This product contains ardisin, norardisin, spinasterol, fatty acids, triterpene saponins, and other constituents.

Therapeutic Effects

The decoction of this product has mild inhibitory effects on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Its triterpenoid saponins have anti-early-pregnancy effects.

Precautions

This product is toxic; for internal use it should not be taken in excessive doses or continuously. Contraindicated during pregnancy.
